The 2026 BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Forum took place in Xiamen on 27–28 May, focusing on smart manufacturing ecosystems. An accompanying exhibition presented industrial large models, embodied robots and smart agriculture technologies for industrial transformation in BRICS and related markets.
Discussions covered mutual recognition of smart manufacturing standards, supply-chain collaboration, digital infrastructure and SME digitalization. Outputs included industrial cooperation cases and a reference catalogue of smart manufacturing solutions to help enterprises identify technologies and international partners.
A partnership cities network began operating during the forum, aiming to promote transformation and skills through city contacts, industry matching and shared resources. The organizers also held market-focused exchanges concerning Brazil, Viet Nam and other destinations.
